Learning German is an essential step for almost everyone who makes their home in the country, and it can also be one of the most enjoyable experiences of all. German is a fantastic language to learn, and Germany offers numerous opportunities to do so, with top-notch language classes accessible in every city, despite the language's initially intimidating appearance.

Levels of German Language

When you come to choose a German course, you'll find that the options are divided into different levels. Here are the main levels that you'll probably want to attain:
-A1 level: The lowest of the six levels, A1 provides a basic foundation in grammar and vocabulary and is required for employment in occupations such as childcare. Courses generally take 4-6 weeks to complete.
-A2 level: Moving up the scale, A2 enables students to begin to express themselves with more complex sentences and vocabulary. It is usually obtained through 4-6 week courses.
-B1 level : Much more grammar is included here, as well as extended discussions, often about current events. Generally divided into B1.1 and B1.2, which add up to 8 weeks of classes.
-B2 level: At B2, students take 8 additional weeks to learn the fundamentals of good written and spoken German. Concepts relating to politics, education, and work are introduced, and sentence structure becomes much more important. So in total, most students reach B2 within 14-16 weeks of starting a one year course.

A1 Level

It is intimately related to the fulfillment of practical requirements to be able to comprehend and use common, everyday language and basic sentences. He/she can introduce themselves and other people, as well as inquire about others.

A2 Level

B1 Level

The German government claims that a B1 level is sufficient for communicating with Germans in order to apply for citizenship in Germany. When common language is employed and familiar topics related to work, play, school, etc. are the main focus, the main points can be understood.

B2 Level

After passing this level, one will be able to comprehend complicated texts' key points on both concrete and abstract subjects. Students will also be able to comprehend specialised debates in their primary areas of specialisation.
